Human body interactions at 184MHz
An adult walking from the side of the antenna, relative to the Tx-Rx path, again the
transmit antenna is 1m above ground level. The resulting interaction takes place over a
distance of about 10m. The human body is acting as a re-radiator producing two propagation
paths to the receive antenna which is 30m away. The radiation from the antenna and the
interacting body add vectorially at the receive antenna and hence the two components can
result in a level above and below normal propagation. The latter results in a
level of approximately 9dB on this dB scale.
